Omnisphere team air challenge code1/19/2024 Glassy, yet without the harshness that the Kontakt pianos had. Very crisp, consciously produced for a Hi-Fi/high res sound. Sample Tank 3 Piano 1 (32.45 mins in) sounds pretty decent for a rompler collection piano. Yamaha, Roland and Reason pianos sound nice and smooth, no better than Pianoteq or Ivory but very nice without nasties. Ivory sounds great, top to bottom clarity without harshness possibly nicest treble air.Ībbey road sounds a bit honky tonk, nice clarity though, characterful. For me importantly non of the harsh edge I hear in the Kontakt pianos. Pianoteq sounds as good as the premium sample pianos here. Non of the three replacements for the old Kontakt Akoustik pianos (replacements introduced in Komplete 9) actually strike me as actually better (this demo would lead me to think they were inferior!), also badly in need of different EQ settings from the presets I guess. The Maverick is okay, somewhat dark and soft yet with that slightly harsh treble again (I get this harsh treble on the old Akoustik pianos too, but at least they are well balanced). The Grandeur sounds okay, sounds uneven though. * ADDED NOTE 5th October - New NI pianos discussed sound really nice in reality but did not sound good in this YouTube demo*.Įnjoy most of them but in direct comparison within this group NI The Gentlemen sounds horridly muffled in mid and bass yet open in treble (i've heard this in other demos too), The Giant is marred by harsh treble. Here are some notes I made while listening, you're free to ignore (personal rant). I can evaluate the sound though and the feel. I'm not a pianist but I like to hear good pianists make these sing. Glad you liked it, even though you've already heard it. It sounds like you would've have preferred this to have been offered as a more affordable sample pack for Omnisphere, rather than elavating it to a separate product. I haven't been inspired to use them myself, but that's not a criticism. I like the sounds, recognised some Omnisphere from Thomas Dolby's last album too. I'm not criticizing Spectrasonics, merely recognising a house sound (just as Michael did), that in itself is not a flaw. No problem with this project, but dialog with owners/users would surely raise concerns about long wait for StylusRMX 'refresh'. This offering may be very well accomplished, but falls more on the track of their sound/instrument libraries versus a completely new product or major Update. Many quality 3rd-Party libraries as well. Very powerful, capable, reliable software for wide range of genres, eras, effects from respected global artists. but experience with Omnisphere/Omni2, Trilian, StylusRMX is very positive, especially with Omni2 Update.
